First, before getting your floor wet, clear your floor of anything laying on it. Sweep or use the stem of a vacuum cleaner to get under furniture and into corners. Get your cleaning supplies together. A mop, bucket and floor cleaner chemical. Fill the bucket with hot water to cut through grease or hard to remove grime. If youwant to you can make your own cleaning solution for your floors. 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup vinegar and 1 tablespoon dish soap. For fragrance, 5 to 7 drops of essential oils.
Flat microfiber mops work well on linoleum, wood or tile. Squeeze excess water ou of the pad before sticking it on. Go in a W or M pattern. Use a bucket of plain water to rinse and then mop and rinse again. Start at the farthest point from the door in each room and mop your way out.
